Help Wanted

We’re always looking for fresh faces in the officer group! We are currently seeking part-time (1 or 2 events) or full-time help with the below positions. If any of these interest you, reach out to us at cincyhokies@gmail.com.

Hospitality Chair

This volunteer would be responsible for greeting all Hokies that come out to our Football and Basketball Watching Party events. This volunteer would make our alumni feel welcomed, keep track of how many attend our event, get new participants’ contact info, and follow up with those who attend to encourage them to join us again in the future. Commitment would be 1hr per game day, which can be per game or per season; ~12hrs full-time during the football season, ~6hrs full-time during basketball season (~18hrs/ year).

Philanthropic Chair

This volunteer would be responsible for our efforts of putting Ut Prosim to work. Responsibilities of this role would include organizing a canned food drive, helping with our annual Day of Remembrance/ Big Event program, and supporting any other events that would benefit our local Cincinnati community such as raising funds for the Ronald McDonald House, volunteering at Matthew 25 Ministries, or helping prep a meal at St. Francis Seraph’s Cooking For the Family Program. Commitment would be per event (~4hrs canned food drive, ~8hrs help/ participation in Day of Remembrance/ Big Event, ~6hrs various Ut Prosim Events) or about ~18hrs/ year full-time.

Fundraising Chair

This volunteer would be responsible for raising funds for both our operations fund and our scholarship fund. Responsibilities of this role would include organizing a Donorship Event, developing and executing development programs, promoting VT’s annual Giving Day event, and encouraging local alumni to give to our chapter. Commitment would be per event (~4hrs Donorship Event, ~8hrs development programs, ~4hrs Giving Day support, ~12hrs donor solicitation) or about ~28hrs/ year full-time.
