Megan Meconi

Scholarship Chair

Megan is from Akron, Ohio, and graduated with a bachelor in Industrial & Systems Engineering from VT in 2000 and a master of Business Administration in 2002.  Megan moved to Cincinnati in 2002 to work for Citi credit cards as a project manager in operations.  She had the opportunity to live overseas from 2004 until 2009 implementing projects for Citi and subsequently Ricoh in London, Stockholm, and Barcelona.  Megan returned to Cincinnati in 2009 and worked for a short time for Fifth Third Bank as an implementation project manager before starting her own business in 2011 with a Midwest chain of Spanish Language Learning Centers.  Megan speaks Spanish and Catalan and is an avid traveler, sports fanatic, and spends her free time lifting weights, playing soccer, and reading.

Kate Landacre

Vice President

Kate originally hails from a small town in Southwest Virginia (around two and a half hours south on I81 from Blacksburg) and now calls Northern Kentucky home with her Husband and Great Dane pup in Independence. After completing a "victory lap" at Tech, she graduated in the Fall of 2014 with a Bachelor's in Food Science and Technology. For the first five years of her career, she worked in Technical Services and Food Safety & Quality Assurance roles for a large, protein-centric food manufacturer, and now works in Supply Chain Quality Management for a food packaging company. Outside of her professional career, she expresses her creativity and passion through baking and operates a small business from her home. In her time at Virginia Tech, Kate was a part of the Student Alumni Association and enjoys volunteering with the Cincinnati Chapter to continue to meet and engage with fellow Hokies. In her spare time, you'll find Kate and her Husband exploring local eats & brews, travelling, and spoiling their fur-baby.

John Kollar

Secretary

John grew up in Manassas, Virginia and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from VT in 2010. After graduating, he spent 4.5 years working on aircraft for Northrop Grumman in Pax River, MD. He relocated to Cincinnati in 2015 to work on development jet engines for GE in Evendale where he is also currently the VT Campus Recruiting Leader. When not working or recruiting, John enjoys traveling, running, cooking, volunteering, and watching VT Football!

Ryan Eifert

President

Ryan was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and found his way to Blacksburg for a change of scenery, top notch education, and rowdy ACC sports. Graduating in 2008 with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Ryan made his way to western Kentucky for his first job out of school. While earning those first stripes, Ryan completed the Beamer educational track and earned his M.B.A. from Murray State University. Ryan made his way to Cincinnati in 2013 and married a Hokie in 2015. Ryan spends most of his time trying to renovate his house and brew beer between raising two young children.

Erica Boyd

Treasurer

Erica is originally from Midlothian, Virginia and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Food Science from Virginia Tech in 1997. She spent 13 years doing R&D in the meat processing industry, focusing specifically on innovation and new product development. She relocated to Cincinnati in 2010 with her family to explore new work opportunities. Currently, Erica works at Givaudan Flavors as an applications scientist, working with customers to develop improved eating experiences for the end consumer. Erica has two boys, Tristan and Garrett, both currently attending college in Ohio. In addition to her full time work, she owns a Jazzercise studio and instructs classes several times a week, sings in a community choir and serves as a board member of two different local professional organizations. She enjoys the outdoors, scuba diving, sports, music, dogs and visiting breweries.
